Single Touch Payroll
Under Single Touch Payroll, employers will be required to electronically report payroll and super information to the ATO when employees are paid, using Standards Business Reporting-enable software.
The idea behind this system is to help employers to simplify the tax and superannuation reporting obligations by remitting the employee's PAYG Withholding and Super Guarantee at the same time employees are paid.
No final decision has been made on its implementation as the Government is seeking views from interested parties who are encourage to lodge written submissions by March 06, 2015.
